Dremel Tool Change Coupler

This was a replacement part for a Dremel tool as advertised. It arrived in the mail 2 days after I ordered it and was installed and up and running in about 30 minutes. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the price is quite high for a piece that is 1 inch long and 10 millimeters in diameter. be a Tygon pipe. I understand it's extruded internally with splines, but I assume a piece of non-slotted pipe (from Home Depot) would work just as well.

Pros
  • Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Part. Compatible Brands: Dremel
Cons
  • High Price

Easy to install but high price per piece Plastic

I gave up my Dremel tool because it won't rotate anymore. It's been sitting in my toolbox for years and I figured YouTube could explain what was wrong with it. Youtube explained the problem and ordered the part number, easy to install and works fine now. The only troublesome aspect of this whole experience is the price you pay for a small piece of plastic that probably costs less than a penny. Just under $9 for this piece of plastic shows they know how critical it is and can charge as much asโ€ฆ

Pros
  • This flexible coupling (part number 2615294309) is designed for rotary tools
Cons
  • Available in white only

Probably Revane Prime, but you pay for shipping in the price.

I had a 25 year old Dremel tool that went into a "death spin". You can hear the motor turning, but the tool tip does not turn. After searching the internet I found that there are many videos on YouTube explaining how to replace this simple part. Replacement is easy and now my Dremel tool will last for years to come. My only problem is the price. Revain charges around $7.50 for the $2 piece, and shipping for Revain Prime is reportedly free. Not really. You pay the shipping costs in the purchaseโ€ฆ

Pros
  • manufacturer replacement. The part may look different but is functionally equivalent to the previous parts including: 529430970
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
