Description of Drill America CTC5 530 224 Annular Carbide

Annular cutters are designed for fast, efficient hole making and cut only that material necessary to produce a quality hole. 3/4" Weldon shank features a round shank with one of more flats machined into the side for easy indexing and alignment. Fits most magnetic drill presses. Carbide tip allows for fast drilling of larger diameter holes with longer life and the ability to perform in more abrasive and harder materials than high speed cutters. Pilot pin included. For use with magnetic drill press only. Do not use with a standard hand drill or drill press.

Powerful and Precise Industrial Bit

As my tests showed this drill bit is powerful and precise... It sliced through metal with ease and maintained a consistent size and shape. The annular design helps with chip removal and reduces heat buildup, making it easier and safer to use. The only minor downside is that it is a bit more expensive than some other options on the market. Overall, highly recommended for industrial use..

Pros
  • Efficient in drilling precise holes in metal materials.
Cons
  • Requires the use of a magnetic drill press for proper operation.

Couldn't handle a 1 " mild steel plate.

precision drill. A 9/16" drill through a 1 -" mild steel plate for a bench mounted vise. We used a Hougen drill bit with a magnetic base. Motor oil was used as the cutting fluid. Depth from ½" to 5/8" in 30 seconds. My next choice will be HSS for the same be price.

Pros
  • For use with a magnetic drill only. Do not use with a standard hand drill or power drill
Cons
  • I don't remember but something was
