Excellent, inexpensive and durable rotary tool.

This is a great little rotary tool, cheap and strong. It is a single speed motor, small, light and easy to use. You really can't go wrong with this tool. I've used it for many small projects with no problems, but I don't recommend it for tasks that require precision or force/torque. It's good for spot polishing, cutting or drilling soft materials, but for heavier or more precise jobs I recommend a Dremel.

Pros
  • 16000rpm
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Works but no electricity.

This is a good little tool when you're working with really soft material like polymer clay, bola wood or similar. I tried using it to cut a groove on the end of a half inch rod to make a perch for my bird and the small cutting disks would not break or spin at all because the small motor just didn't have the torque to cut. I really like the size of this product. Personally, I'm afraid of rotating tools because the vibration can make them fly out of your hand, but this one is much more…

Pros
  • Spindle lock for easy collet changes
Cons
  • I'll write back later

Suitable for small projects.

I bought these in 2012 when I wrote my review it was 2017. I originally bought this for small projects where plastic and tin were drilled. It worked fine for my needs. Most of what I had to go through was cutting and sanding 2 1cm diameter holes and altoid sheet metal. It did the job well. However, I think tin is the best it will go through. I later used one of the many parts that come with the kit to remove rust from my bike. That's when I encountered a problem. In the middle of that session…
