Will not withstand light wear

While the wood of the device and its lugs are quite strong, the all-important rubber stopper is unsatisfactory. This end cap experiences a lot of pressure when the webbing is stretched as it is the fulcrum for the lever. Unfortunately, the rubber is very thin and cannot withstand the stress of repeated use. Not required with clips

This subframe looks great for attaching straps with buttons. However, Revain reveals that it is often purchased with straps as well as clips. It's an illusion. The Revain page only shows the front of the pack. The back of the packaging shows you how to use this stretcher - it allows you to tighten and hold the straps…

Pros
  • Ideal for tightening upholstery straps and more
Cons
  • Large and bulky

I had to "rewind" the sofa, I saw a few videos on YouTube how to use this and similar tools. I found it really easy to get the correct (more or less) belt tension. The belt tensioner is larger than a 2 inch polypropylene belt (also purchased from Revain); it was good nonetheless. I even used a plastic cover (for the nail material) as a guide for the spacing between tracks (i.e. between each strip of track - basically the distance between two holes/nails). It was made approximately for the…
