Review on πŸ–ŒοΈ Dritz 44292 Webbing Stretcher for Painting, Drawing, and Art Supplies by Summer Hendricks

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Will not withstand light wear

While the wood of the device and its lugs are quite strong, the all-important rubber stopper is unsatisfactory. This end cap experiences a lot of pressure when the webbing is stretched as it is the fulcrum for the lever. Unfortunately, the rubber is very thin and cannot withstand the stress of repeated use. After stretching eight jute ribbons, the rubber split in two places and detached from the tool. Without rubber, the tool slips and is hardly usable. The manufacturer should use thicker and more durable rubber. Also, the rubber is only held by a couple of small staples - it needs to have longer staples and also be glued.

Pros
  • For chairs, sofas or ottomans
Cons
  • Not sure
