This is your standard polyester horsehair braid. Exactly what I thought I was ordering. I used this for the bottom of a silk charmeuse wedding gown that needed the hemline to spread out rather than draping in on itself. It gave it enough movement and flow that it didn't look stiff and unnatural but increased the mermaid look like I was going for.

Pros
  • Worked perfectly for making a Halloween costume for my baby!
Cons
  • The length of the braid may be too long for those who do not need to use it in large quantities, creating a storage problem

worth the cost for my opinion

entire box for the price of two yards at local fabric store. Dressmaker used in my daughter's wedding dress, kept the hemline in place without large hoop underskirt.

Pros
  • Very good quality.
Cons
  • The horsehair braid is not durable and tends to fray easily, making it a bad investment in the long run

Perfect size for below nose on curved seam of a mask

Love this on my curved mask pattern! Saw it on a bridal you tube video for a curved mask (not the exact pattern I’m using a customized design) sewn along the seam edges below nose, this keeps mask from caving back into one’s mouth while breathing! A huge help to make tighter masks More breathable! It only takes about 3-4” so there is plenty.

Pros
  • Very pleased
Cons
  • The product is not suitable for all fabric types and may not work well with materials such as silk or chiffon, limiting its versatility
