Very good for cross stitch needles

I was hesitant to try these after reading the reviews but they fit my purpose perfectly. I mainly used them for tapestry needles. I had no trouble getting the needles out, they fan out when you shake the tube upside down and don't fall out making it easy to choose the right needle. I was very happy that they no longer disappear into the pincushion. The caps hold up well. I haven't used them for tiny thin needles that others have mentioned can get stuck, but they are perfect for tapestry…

Pros
  • Includes 33 clear self-adhesive labels for all types and sizes of needles
Cons
  • Very expensive

Worst product ever!

I bought these because I thought they were cute and easy to store pins. However, when I first inserted a few needles into the tube, the tips of the needles immediately got stuck between the magnet and the inner wall of the tube. My new needles are now permanently stored in these stupid little tubes. The magnet is firmly wedged into the bottom of the tube and the needles remain stuck in it. No shake will set her free. That might be fine for thick needles, but thin needles are doomed to…

Pros
  • Features an internal magnet that lifts the pins and then holds them and fans them out for easy selection.
Cons
  • Unbelievable price.

Simpler would be better

I didn't quite understand that these needle holders have a magnet that slides back and forth when you tilt the holder. The problem I had was that you need an exact needle size to fit the tube. Some of my big needles were too big. I have a lot of small beading pins that I put in a holder. The pair slipped next to the magnet, getting stuck and unable to move. This prevented me from getting the needles out as they all got stuck on the end of the magnet. I ended up having to take a hammer and break

Pros
  • Hex shape prevents straws from rolling off work surface
Cons
  • Some bugs
