WHAT WHAT AMAZON!

This is a piece of shit! When I bought the drywall gluing tool, I didn't realize that 99% of the reviews are about some kind of Finnish wood oil. WHAT WHAT AMAZON! DO NOT BUY! FRAUD!

Pros
  • Ideal for a small house
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

I should have known better!

I kinda figured a plastic banjo would work for me to save some money. I don't think it lasted more than 30 feet before the roll of tape came loose due to the spool holder failing. Even the "free" knife is of poor quality! Buy a real banjo, even if it costs a little more. Save yourself the headache!

Pros
  • build quality
Cons
  • the list will be long.

Needs slight modification to work properly

The knife they give you is a good idea except it's too thick say 1/8 inch, no flexibility and can't cut paper tape , but that's not a problem considering the plastic mud control plate is so sharp it cuts the tape about 6 inches long and right where it comes out of the banjo so you have to stop opening it and pull out some tape , a bit no fun, everything else works as intended, I repaired one of my own knives and sanded down the plastic sheet just enough not to cut through the tape.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Good but not great

What a failure! on Taping Knifes

What a mistake!. The inner shutter, which controls the thickness of the drilling fluid, is far enough out that you can drop a nickel on one end, and it's closed on the other (mind you, this is where the tape comes out, not very wide). I have to wait for a replacement before trying to return it. I'll let you know how it goes! There is only one latch, you close the door and it tries to latch on the end closest to the roll of tape. , but if you clamp the latch from the front, it slips about 1/8…

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Reliable
