Great budget card for your Mac Pro 4.1/5.1

East mount and small form factor compared to my I/OCrest card. This is probably the cheapest NVMe PCIe adapter that works great with Mac Pro 4.1/5.1. It even helps my Radeon VII run a few degrees cooler by allowing a bit more air through the card (it's in slot 2) since it's smaller than my previous one.

Pros
  • Finally bought it
Cons
  • Replacement availability

Easy to set up and works great.

It works great and both M.2 drives run at high speed. I was a little concerned that having two M.2s so close together and on the same map would cause heat issues. Although the M.2 ran about 5°F warmer than the two separate cards, heat wasn't an issue. My computer is set to have the fan blow directly onto the MB that the card is on and both M.2s have heatsinks. M.2s can get very hot if not properly cooled and become damaged as a result. i need radiators

Pros
  • Special Offer
Cons
  • Available in white only

MY COMPUTER WAS BURNED BY THE INTERNAL SSDS

Back wall caught fire. Once I played a simple game. And I didn't even open saved files from this card 😑. And my computer shuts down. So I'm trying to turn it back on. Just to see the fire emanating from this card. Good thing my RTX didn't get damaged. Or something else. But beware of that. I had this card for 3 weeks when it failed miserably. But when it worked, it was good until it didn't.

Pros
  • . Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Hard to say

Excellent product met expectations

I like this product I understand why it is expensive because it is a niche need. This works well for us folks who don't want to upgrade yet.

Pros
  • Only positive
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

A bit pricey but overall worth it.

Feels like you're paying double what it's worth, but it gets the job done quickly and messily for a setup without built-in NVME sockets. Just make sure your BIOS supports NVME for it to work if that's what you want.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

I recommend a good device for a specific case

The first impression is good. The device is easy to install and allows me to use the 8x slot of my x99 system, but does not fully support 8 PCI lanes. I have 2 x 1TB PNY 2030 drives installed and the CDM shows 3500Mb/s read and 2700Mb/s write when used alone. If you run CDM on both drives at the same time, you will get 2000 reads and 1700 writes on both drives. Raid 0 delivers 3700 read speed and 3300 write speed, which is acceptable for me at the moment. Will end up being used as a cache drive

Pros
  • Electronics
Cons
  • I will add later

Not as fast as other dual nvme controllers

I experimented with this card as soon as I got it. Installed it on my Mac Pro 5.1 in slot 2 (pcie 2.0 - x16). The writing speed, as shown in the picture, was 1421 MB/s; and read speed, 1475 MB/s, with evo 1 TB m.2. While it's fast enough to capture uncompressed video from an HD camera, it's not as fast as the other dual m.2 controllers available here, which are also designed for x8 PCIe in the same slot. In fact, I got the same speed with Ableconn in slot 3 (pcie 2.0 - x4), which tells me this…

Pros
  • Computers and Accessories
Cons
  • Out of fashion

It works best on unraid on internal SSDs

I rarely write reviews and am not an expert on SSDs but as this product had no reviews I felt it was necessary. I have a non-raid server running on a micro-ITX MB and wanted to add more disks to the device. My SSD cache drive occupied a SATA port and I had an empty x16 PCI slot. This product allowed me to move cache to 2 Samsung 970 Pro NVME 512GB drives, which allowed me to use all SATA ports for hard drives. It worked without any problems. Unraid recognized the 970 Pro and I was able to put…

Pros
  • Internal SSDs
Cons
  • Not bad
