It gets hot but works as promised.

Find instructions online. The rubber plugs for attaching the drive could be better. I personally would prefer a screw. The device could also benefit from adding rubber pads to the bottom to keep the table warm.

Tiny, Fast, Easy to Use Hard Drive Accessories

Cloning to 256GB takes about a minute. Using it as an external drive enclosure is as easy as it sounds. No bugs or other problems. Full Disclosure: I ended up not being able to get a larger drive clone to work on my work computer, but I suspect it had to do with the security settings on the computer and nothing else. with this device. I was able to make sure all the data was there in time, the laptop just refused to boot from it.

M.2 drives get hot when cloning

This time I got a power supply with an M.2 clone case for offline cloning without a computer. Worked great. The guide needs to clarify whether the progress LEDs should flash or turn green when 100 progress in the cloning process is reached. I waited minutes to make sure the cloning was successful as the progress bar was still blinking at 25, 50, 75, 100%. Check the drive to confirm cloning. was successful. Did it take minutes or seconds?

Clone my M2 but it was very warm

This unit did a great job cloning my M2. The cloning process was very fast, cloning a 256GB drive to a 1TB drive took about 10 minutes. The original drive was encrypted, so I couldn't access the data on it outside of the original computer. The case also got uncomfortably warm to the touch. I had to use a plastic wrapped frozen block and a paper towel to make sure my drives didn't overheat. Otherwise it did exactly what I wanted.

The replacement device does not turn on, do the same as the first one you received!

Ordered last week and received one of these for a standalone clone but the unit showed no sign of power (no LEDs) so Revain replaced it. The replacement came and installed my SSD, plugged it in and again nothing. The second also had screws turning inside, which was clearly visible on the circuit board where it went. . I think I need to try another brand.

A good choice when you need to clone M.2 NVME and need long-term portability and flexibility.

I am an aerospace engineer: Robust device with machined aluminum housing. The cap is easy to put on and take off and has a good fit. I suspect this is partly due to the machining with the exceptional fit and finish. The ability to do offline cloning and use it as portable external storage is a nice feature. Very fast work, which equals heat. However, the solid aluminum body is able to dissipate them safely. As the price of M.2 NVME storage continues to drop, I suspect I'll get more value from…

Works very well, clone my hard drive in a short time.

I do quite a lot of computer upgrades. Right now most of my upgrades just install larger M2 drives as prices drop. This tool is a great way to clone a drive without using software or clicking and dragging. This device was smaller than I expected. To be fair, it's about the size of a 2.5-inch hard drive.
