Leaky seal best for brake and tail light assemblies, parts and accessories

Definitely a very nice light but the seal that came with the light is not thick enough so every time I drive through my truck the car wash, water pours over the back seat into my truck. The only option was to attach a strip of clear silicone, which seems to have stopped the leak for now. My native light didn't leak at all until I installed this one. They may want to provide a better seal with this product.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • poorly thought out

It's looking good until the first rain falls and then the clouds roll in.

looks good until the first rain, when it becomes cloudy and leaking. I know for a fact that I installed the screws correctly and tightly/tightly. When it first came it was torn so I sent it back and they sent me another one. THEN I go to the Laser Wash and water flows through my ceiling! The charging lights do not light up at all even when new and stopped working after about 4 months due to water damage. Please believe me, anything that fits many models may not fit properly. Just get a tinted…

Does not fit 2003 model under Lighting and Lighting Accessories

This item will NOT fit the 2003 Chevy Silverado, even though the description on the Revain site says it does. Read other reviews describing the gap at the top of the light, they are correct. This light does not have the correct curvature, although it is flat for mounting, there is at least a 1/4 inch gap between it and it. Cockpit and the gasket doesn't even come close to sealing or even touching the cockpit. I ordered the correct light from a GM workshop and it fits perfectly even though it's…

I LIKE BUT. in Lights & Lighting Accessories

Looks a lot nicer than a standard headlight and the LEDs are very bright so I feel like when I hit the brakes this light makes me more visible. BUT as many others have pointed out and I ordered knowing this would be a potential problem, the shim is too thin leaving a gap (which could also be corrected with a better fit). Since my truck is black I bought some black silicone glue before the light arrived and glued a ring around the hole, then installed the light and after screwing in added…

Stay away. Pure garbage.

After the first one broke during installation, the second one quickly turned yellow. Be careful when installing, plastic breaks with very little effort. Will buy a better product to replace this. I also needed a flashlight to inspect the sticker. Now I'll look for a good one, don't waste your money. This is absolutely the lowest level of quality I have ever seen in an automotive lamp assembly. Please note that I have been running parts shops for almost 2 decades. The only good thing is the…

Upgrade: 4 to 3 stars. Easy installation / Looks good.

Pretty easy install and the light looks nice. Installed on my 2006 GMC Sierra 1500. The gasket on the back is very strong and thick so I had a big gap when installing it. I ended up using silicone to seal it completely, don't want to risk water ingress. Also, all the wiring is pretty much lost, so I recommend using duct tape to tie everything together and cover where the wires connect. For the price I really can't complain but I took every precaution to ensure it wouldn't fail in less than a…

Don't waste your time and money, get what you pay for!

The lamp was well packed. It was protected by foam and had no damage when I took it out. A quick look after the removal and it looked very good. The headlight seals were clean, the cab seal looked swollen enough not to leak into the cab, everything was fine. However, I encountered a problem when trying to screw the light to the truck. Once I tightened it I noticed a very large gap at the top of the canopy between the cockpit and the canopy. I thought maybe it was connected and maybe not fully…

Works great and doesn't leak. It took six months to update and turned yellow

After reading the reviews here I was a bit hesitant to buy it because everyone said they had leakage issues. I have an 04 GMC Sierra that I installed it on and it's sealed with no problems. I hit it with a garden hose and sprayed it pretty well. I removed the light but there was no water in the roof cavity. You have to make sure you move the capacitor to the side, otherwise the bulbs won't have as much space between the light and the metal. This is the only cause I could see. Or maybe they had…
