Wheylacious for the money

Ordered some to put in my wife's laptop which is "too slow" (Acer; bumped it up from 512MB to 4GB in one fell swoop). He opened the laptop's knees, pulled out the old ones, put in the new ones, and fired up this hammer. It loaded faster and the running Linux (which chugs but works) was lightning fast all of a sudden. Worked like a charm

Worked like a charm on a 2007 Dell Inspiron 1501. Plugged it in and started right away. Another plus is that it was Crucial Technologies branded RAM. Not to mention becoming crucial, it can be any brand. By the way, if you have problems with your system when using the new ram, you can remove the cmos battery for a while, then install the new ram and just reboot to AC power without battery. Bought to give some life to an old 2006-7 Dell Inspiron 6400 laptop that was remastered with a Linux build. The main function of an old laptop is an educational platform for my kids.
