Not what I expected

Durablocks are great. This is not the Durablock I ordered. I figured I'd order a block that was 16" long and 2" wide. The picture showed a full size Durablock when I placed my order. What I received is only 11 inches by 1.25 inches. I'm sure I'll find a use for it, but it's not what I need right now. Very disappointed by AMAZON about this.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • There are cons

This is a fine trimmer grinder. That .

This is a fine edger. It's long and folds like a piece of 9x11 sandpaper. But it's not wide enough for rough grinding. Stick to big blocks for this. It works fine and nothing against Durablock, it just said to add an element and I thought it was bigger lol. Durablock is ok, buy big blocks or flexible blocks if you have a job.

  • Certified

Just a long piece of styrofoam

For the money I think I was expecting something sturdier and sturdier. When I received this I was a bit surprised that it was just a long, thin block of lightweight foam. The sheet of sandpaper slipped off the block a bit so I had to hold it pretty tight. But it matched the contours of the object I was sanding and was flatter than the palm of my hand.

Pros
  • Used anywhere in the world that does professional body work
Cons
  • Very expensive

It is easy to use and can bend as it can.

This worked very effectively on the whole car. Easy to use, it can be bent so it can accommodate both curves and straight lines. I've even used it to get that "hard to get" feature on a car door. This word is very good. You can even get a bigger one for longer straights like an entire door, but if you have the budget get this one as it can work anywhere in the car. I'm sure the longer Durablock can flex a bit too, but this one did a fantastic job. I will also order a longer one.

Pros
  • Fully utilizes 9" x 11" paper; No waste
Cons
  • Not sure

Great tool for bodywork, contouring

For such a seemingly simple matter, 11 inch long rectangular rubber, this sanding block made a world of difference blocking my new sidewalls. Contours were much easier to achieve with this block and 80 grit PSA sandpaper to knock down and shape the bumps, then smooth the edges with 150 grit. The block is easy to grip with nitrile gloves and its hardness matches the contours of the plate on. On the passenger side I didn't use this block and it took more than twice as long, this block made the…
