Durable 5303918214 Refrigerator Defrost Thermostat Review

I was having some defrosting issues in my fridge and found the original thermostat had frozen and stopped working. I replaced it with this product and everything works perfectly like the first day. It was easy to install but the heatsinks didn't work that well, they were a bit short.

There is a Kenmore fridge freezer that the freezer auto defrost function has stopped working and has to be manually defrosted every few weeks. Ordered this to try replacing the thermostat to fix the problem. Arrived quickly but used my own better quality plug. It worked fine for 3 months, then it seemed to stop. You may need to try a different model.

Defrost thermostat advertised, function unknown, just fitted. very big after shrinking, it's still very loose. So I had to attach a bunch of tape to keep moisture out of the wiring. When ordering this, have the smaller heatshrink tubing (#14) ready.

Arrived quickly, great price, working fine after 3 days but tested the old defrost sensor as advertised on youtube and passed the test as working. Showed continuity at temperatures below set temperature but not at temperatures above. However, YouTube said that even if it passes this test, it may not work if it looks deformed due to water damage. Mine didn't look deformed. Too bad I didn't take a picture of this part before installing it. The item in the seller's photo shows copper wire, but the part I received has aluminum wire. I thought it was strange, but at the time I didn't think to go back to the photo on the list. It wasn't until I opened another section of Blue Stars that I realized the poor quality was permanent.
