DVS Comanche Brindle Nubuck Medium: Superior Performance and Durability in Skateboarding Shoes Review

DVS Commanche is my favorite shoe. This is my second pair of Commanche models. I used to have black and white ones and they have lasted me for the last two years, but now they are very worn out so I looked for new skateboard shoes and found them. I don't skate, but I ride BMX. I didn't know they make so many variations of this shoe so I plan on buying the white and black again so I can have both pairs. Although I really like these black ones. You look great. Have plenty of support and padding. But they are ridiculously small compared to other brands. (I gave them to my daughter instead of giving them back). Go at least one size up. And you will most likely want to buy separate laces. They come with flimsy laces that look silly. I used laces left over from my DCs and they look so much better.

Few brands still produce sk8r shoes with puffed tongues without making them look silly. The DVS still has comfort, fit and style. And at a 34% discount (I think that was the discount I got on them) they were stolen. And men's US 10.5 is hard to find, especially on sale, when they're on sale, colors and sizes are usually out of reach for me. If you've ever worn DC, Glove, Etnies or DVS sk8 shoes with thick tongues then this is what you need in your shopping cart.

I'm so disappointed I didn't even read the description or reviews. I've been buying TVs for years. I've never had a bad pair or glitches with them, still my favorite pair of shoes but these sturdy rock solid shoes with no padding on the bottom and they have no flex or side pads are hard the bottom is hard and everything inside is like a Foot in a wooden boot, but I haven't read that maybe they should be made that way on this particular Comanche model

These shoes looked great in the picture and now that they are here I am very impressed. It's okay, the tongue is holding my tight, ankle-length, straight-leg pants. Although it's always loose, I don't really tie it tight. I knit the same as the purl up to the fourth openwork stitch. So I don't have to sacrifice my bad ankle, that's all. Great shoes, great arch support. And in winter my feet not only sweat, it's also warm. The perfect purchase.

I usually wear Etnies and DC shoes but I saw these and I liked the way they looked so I decided to buy them. They're pretty comfortable. They have lots of padding and a narrow toe box so at first I thought I should order a half size up, I usually wear a 10.5 but some brands have 11 but after a few days of wear the foam on the back has worn down and fit perfectly now. Maybe one day I will buy more.

Their soles started to fall off at first sight within 4 months of purchase. I have been wearing DVS shoes for over 10 years and they have not lived up to my expectations. After 1 year of not very demanding use (these are my everyday shoes when I dress casually) the sole practically falls off. I attribute it to a bad batch, but one more pair like this and I'll get rid of the entire DVS brand.

They are comfortable shoes in the sense that they seem to hold your feet firmly, side to side, up and down, they feel solid, you have the feeling of being "locked in” but feel from front to back they look a little small like 11 3/4 (laughs). I really like how they feel (I love that "locked up" feel), and even with heritage-style skateboard shoes I can get that without tying them too tight.

First, they are a size smaller than any other skate shoe I buy from DC Etnies etc. So I ordered a 10.5, it was too small, I'm not a big guy, 170 pounds 5'10". I went back, everything was fine, I ordered 11.5 and they sent me a pair of 10 again, 5. I'm not impressed with the 2 week wait for these shoes and it looks like it will take another week if they send me the correct size this time.

You are wonderful. You need to take them down to make them feel a little more comfortable. And they sell out fast, so be sure to grab them as soon as you see them! They cost money!

Great shoes, great seller. I bought one size larger than usual as the skate shoes are a bit small; However, the DVS padding shrinks to accommodate her size.

Came new, looks like the picture. They fit as expected. The only problem was that the camera was in a shoebox that was practically destroyed and barely held together. But our product is good.

The shoes are amazing quality, very durable and I know they will last me a few months now and they are still in perfect condition.

Great pair of shoes! Well made and comfortable. They were a bit tight at first but I wouldn't say they were uncomfortable. They break pretty quickly.
