Why do you need this Dynamax?

Don't listen to the lies in the FAQ that say necks only go up to 2.5" for a 3" muffler. It definitely goes down to around 2 inches and it's obvious.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Mostly OK, but...

Not the company or the products they used to be.

Very poor quality from walkers, used on great products from them as I used to work in a muffler shop it was a 3 inch muffler or should have been no its 2.5 -s Pipe Welded 3 Inch Adapters! Worst of all, it narrows to about 2 inches on the inside! Come on man be proud of the products you make!

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • No instructions

Chokes up to 2 inches inside.

These are amazing mufflers. They sound great and the quality is good. The only complaint I have is that the inlet and outlet can be 3 inches, but they reduce the inside diameter to about 2 inches in the muffler. It doesn't matter if you don't have more than 200 hp. damper or something like that. If you have more horsepower I would suggest part number 17792 which is 3 inches long throughout.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Nothing here

Awesome solution with best exhaust and emission performance

I have a 21 Charger R/T that comes with an Adaptive Performance exhaust, 2 3/4 pipes with two sets of direct flow resonators and a computer control valve in between . Not only is it noisy and in traffic, but it also hums; totally unacceptable and annoying. The comment on these mufflers was that they eliminated exhaust hum, so I ordered a pair instead of two front resonators. In the muffler workshop, resonators were cut out and Dynomax mufflers were welded in; Wow what an improvement. The car is

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Out of fashion

A bit noisy for my taste but older kids like it.

Custom exhaust with 3" pipes, 3" catalytic converter and this muffler. Sounds great, a bit louder than a cold air intake (you can't hear cold air anymore). If I were to do it again I would choose the thrush version instead (same company, the thrush version has a fiberglass gasket, this is not). As far as gas mileage goes, since it's louder I hit the gas a little softer, I suppose that's a big part of my gain. I also suspect that any gas consumption or performance gain is minimal. It's not aโ€ฆ

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Slightly torn
