Fits DC41 This product works great if you break the red button that connects the clear collection bin to the machine! It's two minutes of repairs and you're back in line! If you broke the long red piece in the canister, you will need another piece. I don't know what happened, but our DC65 started to "let go" when you grabbed it by the handle. I thought my old vacuum cleaner was dead because the little red button on the lid broke in half so the container couldn't stay in place anymore. And so this inexpensive part came to the rescue. I almost didn't order this because some people said it didn't work with their DC41. I'm glad I trusted those who said it as it was an exact replacement that took less than a minute to replace with the original. This part fits my Dyson DC41 perfectly. There are other reviews that claim this is not the case. Unless they changed the design or something else, this will work on your DC41. I was a bit unsure but we had an issue with our DC41 where this part was cracked and needed replacing to keep it from falling apart.
