🔧 Dyson 967157-01 Brushroll, Carbon Fiber Assembly for DC59 Review

This is perfect for replacing my rough old vacuum cleaner brush. The old one was about 5 years old (Costco Dyson Vac) and had lost most of the black brush fibres. The new one came with a gray end piece and was easy to swap out. Black brush fibers improve dirt pick-up on smooth floors.

I happened to notice that the black bristles on the roller head were completely worn out when cleaning the roller head. I googled and found this replacement. The roller nozzle was easy to swap out and I noticed a difference immediately when using the vacuum. It felt like it was brand new again and made a huge difference in what was tuned.

Whilst this item is stated to be compatible with the Dyson v7 motor head it looks identical but after installation it was found that it would not rotate. Upon further inspection, I noticed that the components that the brush is supposed to go into don't touch for the brush to rotate. The pattern on the inside of this new brush is too wide compared to the smaller Dyson brush. A smaller pattern can fit around the component that rotates the brush.
