It works very well for what I needed but as can be seen in the picture most of it is wider than that on my lamp. Now they will send you an extra part to actually assemble it but I really don't want to take my lamp apart. But like I said, it still works.

Bracket too thick to fit into existing recesses in canopy. As a result, we had to disassemble the flashlight in order to insert it into the slots provided. If they made the bracket just a millimeter thinner, that problem would be eliminated.

They fit my 10" glasses perfectly. I've read reviews about the curved mount on top of the harp. One of the brackets was slightly bent, but I rotated it back into position very easily. These harps are sturdy, of excellent quality and have a beautiful silver chrome finish.

full of garbage. The bolt at the top that is supposed to hold the lampshade is bent at an angle and therefore does not allow the lampshade to sit properly. It is taut and cannot be adjusted without breaking. Worse, the metal trim that is meant to be screwed onto the lampshade screw is NOT threaded so it cannot be screwed in.

This is a really high quality product. I have 2 lampshade mounts that I bought from Home Depot so I compared them to a new one I just got from Amazon and was shocked. This mount is 99% better than my other 6" mounts. Just the weight, real heavy metal and a durable build, great build, I was really impressed and the price was cheaper than the big chain stores.
