Unreliable Collated Fasteners for Industrial Use

These fasteners may be fine for lighter, DIY projects, but for industrial and scientific applications, they fall short. We had multiple issues with jamming and misfiring during assembly, which quickly became frustrating and time-consuming.

Pros
  • Stainless steel coating provides some rust resistance.
Cons
  • Prone to jamming and misfiring.

Ringless Nails

Tried to order ring shank nails for trim. The first box that arrived had spiral nails but marked "ring stick". Revain was quick enough to get a new box, but unfortunately that didn't happen. Another box, marked "ring stick" when opened, was the same as the first, 1000 more spiral nails. Damn.

Pros
  • Great Design
Cons
  • Frequency

Nails in the tape Fragile

Believe it or not, the nails in the pillar are fragile. When they arrived the outer box was fine but the inner box was broken. More than half of the clips were broken, many of them into small pieces of 3-4 nails. These things cost as much as a digital camera, an iPod, or fine china and are almost as fragile. You must pack them in the same way, WITH CARE. I'm sure the nails will work, but I'm sure there's still a lot of reloading and jamming ahead of me.

Pros
  • Plastic stick in the shape of a ring
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
