RECOMMENDED for use in all COASTAL, WET and OUTDOOR applications, including decks, balustrades, fences, jetties, walkways and general construction work. HIGH CORROSION RESISTANCE means no more ugly rust stains on your beautiful outdoor timber structures. Good stainless steel screws, no problem removing or breaking.

In the foreword I would like to say that I was a bit hesitant to buy them as many people reported that heads were ripped off or screws broken. I've used stainless steel screws several times in the past with the same problem. The only thing I've found is that stainless steel screws are softer, so I think pre-drilling is mandatory. Some have reported that even after pre-drilling they still had problems, which makes me wonder how they pre-drilled, into what and how deep? I used conicalโ€ฆ

Good, not so good Fasteners

I live in the coastal area and when I build something the hardware is always rust free. I built an 8x10 canopy using Eagle Claw #10x3 screws. All woods have been processed, no thinner than 2 times. I've had no issues with bending, twisting/breaking heads, or stripping. Nothing like that. Again, I know how to use power tools properly. My only caveat is that the points aren't "self-tapping" and you'll have to rely on them a little more than some other frame and deck screws to screw them in. Iโ€ฆ

Has anything changed or what? Shit! Now everything is very expensive! What happened to the purchasing power of OUR dollar? I believe Wash.DC has imposed regulations and taxes so high on so many industries that this alone has resulted in EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE products! (How can our grandchildren afford that?) One thing is certain: Washington DC spends most of the money we send them. It's a crime!. We MUST STOP THEM!. And how do we do that? "VOICE HOME FROM OFFICE AND RESTART".! This is theโ€ฆ
