These files don't last longer than a few files. Whatever rough material is sprayed on the surface will wear out quickly, rendering the file unusable after about 5 or 6 uses. I would NOT buy again. Very disappointing. Real etched glass files work for years, they don't work for more than a few days.

These glass nail files are advertised as etched but are NOT. They are glued to the glass surface. This will smooth out the graininess VERY FAST. These nail files are NOT the LAST. This set of glass nail files comes in a sturdy case that will keep the file safe even if dropped. The colors are vibrant and the file itself is solid unlike some others. I can file hard nails in one stroke or two in one direction instead of filing back and forth like an emery board would require. I have given to some family members and they love them too. Highly recommended for those with strong nails.

File works fine but 2 of the 4 I received were broken. When I opened the first one, the pieces were flying all over the place, so I was more cautious when checking the others. I opened the blue one first and most of what didn't break got stuck in the case. The black one wasn't that broken and was just ripped to pieces. These nail files are just as bright and colorful as the picture. They're great for the price, the briefcase is quite inferior, but it doesn't detract from the functionality of the file at all. Nice little glass nail files, they work better than the little things you usually attach to your nail clippers. Would I buy again if I inevitably lose all these.

I love these files. I kept one for myself and gave one to my two teenage granddaughters and one to my husband to put on a stand next to my recliner chair where I keep mine. There has never been such a file. "Diamond Deb" files were always used. It appears to be thick, strong, smoky glass! Serious! They come with their own slipcase.
