Not suitable for 4x4 poles!

I bought nine of these. I had nine different SUVs. No rack fits these things without me digging out the sides of the holder or shaving the wood off the racks. Absolutely ridiculous!

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Requires outlet

Bought but sent back.

I bought it but sent it back as concrete. I planned on installing the bracket so it was flimsy and the anchors wouldn't hold. This is not due to the hardware or this mount. The mount has good stitching and comes with all the fasteners you need for installation.

Pros
  • Sturdy design
Cons
  • Exorbitant price

Just what I needed

I was so glad I found them, they were just what I needed. It's good value for money but you get what you pay for. I bought other parts that I needed for another project of mine and the metal was thicker and you couldn't see the welds where this product was thinner metal and not how well made it was. Although I don't doubt the strength of this product. Installation was easy but make sure you measure everything correctly and get help with any building you have. Photo in progress, more photos will

Heavy Duty Pole Holder

For attaching a 4 x 4 pole to a wooden porch. The post has a railing on one side and a gate on the other. The original double ended anchor was too weak so it was removed and replaced with this one. The hinge position was fixed and below the top height of the post bracket, so holes had to be drilled on one side to allow the gate hinges to attach to the post. I was happy with the first one so I bought a second one for a different rack. They are solid, seem heavy and strong. Time will tell howโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Industry & Science
Cons
  • Concealable

Very durable; What You Need to Know

These anchor sockets are great. We installed the fence and gate combo on concrete that was poured a few months ago and the fence is quite solid. Just a few things to know if you're thinking about getting into concrete. A hammer drill is a must. A standard drill will last forever. I've read that this requires a 1/2" drill bit, but it won't help. You'll need a 5/8" concrete drill bit. Finally, and I thought it would be, cedar fence posts are actually 4" x 4", but the hole fits a 3 5/8" x 3 5/8"โ€ฆ

Pros
  • Bolt Anchor
Cons
  • Not Sure
