it has no heatsink

died after 3 weeks, didn't shut down due to overheating, cooked to soft music. It doesn't have a heatsink to speak of, so if you're going to spend $180 on a converter, buy it ahead of time.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Expensive

Amazing rumble out of this little package

Hooked up to a healthy 300w RMS amp, this shaker moves the floor and adjacent parts of a sectional design, engineered separately. Pretty fun addition to home theater. It perfectly complements the 12" 650W RMS subwoofer.

Pros
  • Nothing but positives
Cons
  • New competitors are here

Great shakers for surround sound systems

This is a great addition to your home theater system. I run them on a 250w subwoofer plate amp at 75% power with an RCA remote for volume. At full power I was a little swaying. They are not audible when watching movies and tremble with a peak around 22 Hz. I can lower my 2 SVS subwoofers with these shakers.

Pros
  • That's okay!
Cons
  • Expandable

Surprised my family - I didn't tell them I upgraded the seats!

Subjective characteristics: I use 2 pairs of these headphones with a pair of Behringer NX3000D amplifiers and 12AWG cables. Vibrations add an extra thrill to the experience. This is a good complement to traditional subwoofers. When you open the package, there is a strong smell of solvent. I let them air out in the garage for a couple of weeks before placing them in the living room. Installation: The inclusion of pre-crimped Molex connectors and bare wire entry is odd. If I need to crimp the…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Impressive for speakers

As with most things, I explore 'til I drop! I feel like the time I spent researching these and all other converters has paid off. They are extremely efficient. They are very quiet, but produce a surprising amount of power. They are only connected to the LFE signal. I'm sure they work well with a crossover bass signal as well, but I wanted them to only work when movies are sending a specific LFE signal for the effect. They really take immersion to a whole new level without even drawing attention

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Appearance
