Aluminum Heatsinks for Computer Components

These are tiny heatsinks for low power TO-220 applications that still need help dissipating power. A solder bump protrudes from the heatsink. The package includes the necessary screws, washers and insulators for installation. Nuts are not needed as the heatsinks are threaded so be careful not to over tighten or remove the threads. Good for its intended purpose. The product arrived on time, well packaged, no damage. would recommend.

Best suited for cooling MOSFETs in heatsinks

There was a small project using a L7805cv 5v regulator. This radiator seemed like the best option. The processing quality is good, can be tightened well. Some have mentioned that this doesn't work with breadboards, I couldn't remove the support pin but I was able to bend it. This makes it suitable for prototyping and possibly PCB if you can't fit in the pinhole.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Too close to PCB for heatsink

They are too high not to leave any clearance to the PCB. They could be made a hair shorter to allow room for installation. There isn't really a clutch and they attach mechanically with the included screw. I actually threw them away because I couldn't use them at all due to the height issue.

Pros
  • Well built
Cons
  • Protection

Great computer components

I'm a fan of these sleek heatsinks. They dissipate heat really well. And they're badly needed when you're stepping down the voltage with components like the 7805. The only downside is the PCB mounting. If you want to mount them on a PCB you will need a small drill bit to slightly enlarge the hole for the mounting post. I used a super small hex bit to drill the hole. Just make sure the hole isn't too big. If you can keep the solder ring intact, then securing it with solder is great.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

Exactly as advertised. No questions. Good value for money

This is a good and cheap heatsink for TO-220 components like LM317 and 780x up to 800mA. They come with mounting hardware and pre-cut silicone insulator. Suggestion: For more powerful devices, use a paste containing silver instead of pre-cut silicone and take the time to sand the back of the heatsink with 600 grit until you get to bare metal. This makes a big difference and your device will run significantly cooler. Decent quality, especially for the price. I will buy again.

Pros
  • Internal components
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Works perfectly! No real features.

I use them to cool some PWM FETs on a hobby board. They lowered the temperature from "burn fingers" to "too hot to hold." With a little cross ventilation they are just warm. The threaded screw hole is comfortable to the touch and eliminates the hassle of fumbling with a nut on the back. These are not large heatsinks and do not solve serious overheating problems. But they do what they're supposed to do. Unfortunately, there is no information in Celsius/Watt for either tRca or heat output. Look…

Most of my ESP32 circuits are normally inactive, so no heatsinks are needed. I recently built a circuit using a generic ESP8266MOD D1 Mini driving 8 strings of 50 RGB LEDs through rich visual patterns. The 7805, which supplies 5V for a miniature device with a regulated 12V supply, got noticeably warm, not very hot but annoying nonetheless. Screwing in one of these heatsinks and a gasket with the enclosed screw, washers and insert was done quickly. After that, the radiator/controller is barely…
