Low Dust Quiet Braking System

I purchased red EBC front brake pads for my 2001 XK8 about 1500 miles ago. At the same time, I painted the brake calipers red so that they match well. They also work as advertised. Low-dust and quiet since installation.

Significant improvement in braking performance compared to original pads

I have used red EBC pads on many vehicles. These particular brake pads are the second set I have fitted to a 2002 Jaguar XKR. The first set was replaced at 50,000 miles with approximately 25% of the remaining friction material remaining. NOTE: These pads are designed for base model ATE brakes. Brembo brakes use a different EBC Red Stuff part number.

Pros
  • Spare parts
Cons
  • Without automatic transmission

Will not fit XKR or XK8 with Brembo calipers,

I bought these pads for my 2003 XKR and found that they are not the right pads if you have a 'grey' (silver) Brembo 4 -Pot have calipers. Instead, you should buy EBC DP31110C pads (also available from Revain). Unfortunately the picture shown for these pads is not correct. Mostly Redstuff pads; didn't use them on my machine)

Pros
  • Brake Pads
Cons
  • Pretty ok

I have Red Stuff on a '08 Jaguar XJ. Significantly improved dust reduction and improved braking power and braking hardness compared to original pads. I bought this DP3689/2C for my wife's Jaguar XJ 04; but ran into trouble. The website says the pads fit; You are not. I called EBC USA and also went to the Summit Racing Equipment website to find out what was wrong; Jag XJ 04 uses: DP31220/2C (front) and DP31221/2C (rear). I don't know if Revain or the seller is responsible for stating on the…
