Good stopping power.

Bought these brakes as an upgrade for my 2013 Toyota 4Runner. This truck is my daily driver along with my camping and SUV. I tested these brakes in the mountains two weeks ago and they worked well.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Problems

Great product, makes all the difference

May generate a small amount of dust but greatly improves braking performance, especially when combined with Greenstuff DP71657 Series 7000 EBC brakes for the front wheels. I have an armored 2008 4runner (300+ extra pounds) and it's really improved a lot.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Easily repairable

Terrible Not as good as they described.

They called it the best thing ever invented. and it sounds horrible, changed my old pads because the metal adviser started making noise and these make the same noise as the new ones. After 10k run I switch back to OEM.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Some problems

Decent Pads - Braking System

Good brakes, seem to work well. It's hard to tell the difference from other pads. They definitely didn't last as long as the original pads on my 4Runner. The OEM pads lasted 3.5 years and these lasted 2 years. I installed them on the back and 7000 on the front of my 4Runner and the backs failed first. unexpectedly. I just replaced the previous set with the same pads.

Pros
  • Solid build
Cons
  • Not sure

Good brakes but

Good brakes but they sound like race car brakes. Very loud. You will have a lot of brake dust and I changed the pads within a few months. I'm not saying they're bad, I would recommend clearly defining the purpose of the car they're being used on. If I had a racing car, that would be great. For my daily ride I replaced them with Brembo pads and found them to fit much better.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Great pads, but your braking style will change.

These pads hold my GX470 very well. These pads make it more difficult to modulate the brake pedal at lower speeds than stock pads. If you don't mind a narrower pedal travel until you come to an emergency stop, you've got it. These pads try to push you through the windshield when you have to brake hard. In the next sentence I will return to more familiar sensations. If you're looking for crazy grip, these EBC Greenstuff pads are for you.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Disappear

Absolute junk for brake pads

I tried these brake pads paired with EBC rotors many years ago. You were a problem. The deposits on the brake pads were causing the braking impulse (warped discs are usually remnants of the brake pads stuck to the discs) and I ended up replacing them. It's been 5 years and I decided to try EBC brake pads and discs front and rear. Let me be clear: EBC sucks. The braking impulse began very soon after installation, and how to get rid of it? Replaced discs and pads with another brand. DO NOT BUYโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Trade in possible
