Best Upgrade for Toyota Sienna

One of the few things I dislike about our Toyota Sienna is that the OEM brakes wear out quickly and overheat. These rotors along with some green EBC pads are a great upgrade and well worth the money.

Pros
  • Pleasant to Use
Cons
  • Compatibility

EBC website is misleading about noise

I installed them on my ES300 to replace the OEM front rotors. The EBC website states that "aerodynamic wind noise" is to be expected with slots. A more accurate description is a loud ticking or spinning ratchet noise that's constant above 15 mph (and VERY loud at highway speeds) whether you're braking or not. In any case, these rotors are quite noisy and annoying. I contacted EBC and they said it was normal for slotted rotors and would shrink but not go away after about 1000 miles. It's not…

  • It's fine!

Hold well and not crooked, but.

Bought for a 2005 Sienna that warps the rotors like crazy. I've been wearing them for a year now and they haven't deformed at all. If necessary, they also stop abruptly. They also make a slight crunch when you really get stuck on the mounts, but I put up with that as they quickly bring the rig to a halt. So…

Terribly noisy never really worked

These brakes were fitted to my 2007 Lexus IS250 and it was a big mistake. They have been installed by Pep-Boys who is an authorized dealer/installer. They told me there would be a squeak when the brakes let up, but that noise never went away in the 20,000 miles I had in the car. I contacted EBC and they mentioned a shim kit that would fix this problem. Their shim kit was already installed and did nothing to reduce the annoying noise my brakes were making. I also used EBC brake pads. I simply…
