I think everyone who gave a 5 star review just said - oh it's beautiful it shines let me give it 5 stars! Either that or you have something different than me. Because that's what I got. I sold eyelash serums in mascara tubes to two customers. When they BOTH contacted me about cracked tubes, peeling caps, and leaking tubes, I knew *exactly* what they were talking about because my eyeliner tubes were doing the same thing. I bought it to put castor oil on my eyebrows and eyelashes. The eyeliner tubes work great, the brushes are very soft. The mascara is harsh but I didn't have that effect when I applied the oil to my brows. When you take the mascara out of the tube, it looks like there's very little, but it's actually more than enough. The only frustration is that the rubber inserts in the mascara brushes keep falling out. Once I close the cap tightly and hold the bottle upright all day or night it seems to snap…

They're plastic, but heavy plastic. They are indestructible unless you really work at them; so better than glass. I've dropped mine a few times and never had a problem. In the picture you can see black and neutral "plugs". Depending on what you put in the tubes, the plugs "lubricate". (I use it for castor oil for eyelash growth. It actually works, by the way.)
