The quality of the leather is good and very thin. The inside of the upper is lined with fabric, making it look more like a fabric lining than a leather lining. This obviously wears out quicker than real leather. Overall comfort is the same as the ECCO, but the quality isn't on par with previous ECCO running shoes.

I live in Ecco and usually pay $160 for a pair. It was a $40 bargain, but they have an almost faux-plastic appearance compared to the "distressed leather" texture my other Eccos have. It doesn't matter much, but reinforces the "you get what you pay for" principle.

I've bought several if ecco sneakers and sandals and I have to say that I've never been disappointed since then. I'm a lover of classic menswear, so believe me when I say I pay attention to the details. These shoes have good traction and comfort despite their appearance on the sole and the lightness of the shoe.
