He told me which one was bad and I substituted it from the 2nd set.

They are what they are. The OEM coils are $75 each at the auto parts store and you need 8 of them. It costs $40 for a set of 8. Do like me and buy 2 sets. At this price I expected at least one of them to fail within a month and I was right. reader plugged in. He told me which one was the bad one and I replaced it with the 2nd set of coils. That was 2 years ago and I'm still humming. This is a very good option for those of us who would rather spend $80 on something instead of $600.

7 good out of 8 best in Ignition Parts

All 8 installed and code P0304 lost (missing on cylinder 4). The SUV worked great for about 3 weeks. then I got a P0301 (missing on cylinder 1 _ glad I tagged and kept my old coils. Install one of the old coils and it won't be missing on this cylinder anymore. Put the Cly 1 coil on paper and came back a few hours later on there was something on the paper that looked like oil that must have leaked out of the spool 7 out of 8 is not bad but I don't know if only one spool can be returned and Iโ€ฆ

Excellent replacement part for F150.

I have a 2008 F150 with Triton v8. I drove 100,000 km with it and never had any problems. But a few months ago the Check Engine light came on and it started to go away. Did a little research and found out about coil and spark plug issues on the Ford v8 modular car. In the afternoon I changed the spark plugs and ignition coils. It's not an easy task, especially when you have to twist your arms and body to get to the spark plug closest to the firewall. But these things look just like the ones Iโ€ฆ

Very important! fits coil packs

My F150 has had minor misfires for a number of years but only at a certain point in the powerband. I took it to my mechanic and he found nothing wrong. It only overshot at 45-50 mph when the rpm were around 1200. It's gotten a lot worse lately and has become quite annoying. I read online to "try" replacing the coils. Well, almost $40 each, it's quite an expensive experiment. I found them for $38 for the whole set shipped to my house so decided to give it a try. It took me about an hour to swapโ€ฆ
