My F150 has had minor misfires for a number of years but only at a certain point in the powerband. I took it to my mechanic and he found nothing wrong. It only overshot at 45-50 mph when the rpm were around 1200. It's gotten a lot worse lately and has become quite annoying. I read online to "try" replacing the coils. Well, almost $40 each, it's quite an expensive experiment. I found them for $38 for the whole set shipped to my house so decided to give it a try. It took me about an hour to swap them all out, including the hard-to-reach rear ones. I've been driving for three weeks now, no more misfires. In fact, my truck hasn't been running that well since I bought it. I would definitely buy them again.
