I didn't realize how bad my legs were until I replaced them. I thought the ice on the hood was the real problem. they come and carry on as promised.

It's funny how people deal with the bonnet or tailgate sagging sooooo long after the originals have worn out. Little do you know they can be replaced so inexpensively at home.

My Ford Explorer bonnet strut started to fail, won't hold up, ordered these replacements in less than 5 minutes to replace (with someone holding the bonnet up). A flathead screwdriver was all I needed, works like new

Replaced the stock front hood struts on my 2005 Ford Explorer. after the wind blew and the hood fell over his head. I'm fine ;) With these new stays my hood now lifts itself. Easy to install, great product at a great price, 5 stars.

This item arrived well packaged and in OEM condition. I am very happy. It would be nice to have a description sheet, albeit small, that says what they are and how long they should last.

The product is cheap, opening and closing the main clamp can be troublesome. I've bought smaller brands for other cars in the past and haven't had this problem. In general the product works but it's not my first choice. a true 2.5 star rating, but that's not an option.

I fitted them to a 2008 Ford Explorer they fit perfectly just like the factory version. Easy to install, simply lift the hood, pry off the snap rings on each end of the old struts, remove the old struts and "snap in" the new ones. Use a small flathead screwdriver to pry the retaining rings on the old posts. those to take them down. You don't have to pry the rings on the new ones to put them on, just push them down with some force and they'll snap into place.
