I have these tubes to try out for my razor blades instead of food grade PVC. They are much easier to remove from soap than PVC pipes. I just poured the first few batches straight into the mold. I love using these for different shaped homemade soap bars. It is well made and I think it will last a very long time. The only issue I had that didn't give me a full 5 stars was when I filled the tube with my soap product and packed the soap separately into the tube and most of the soap squirted out. This made the soaping process a lot easier for me. Be sure to use the clips on the sides if using a hot process or something gooey. Or maybe just in case. For hot-made soap, be sure to pour it over it, as it will shrink an inch or more at the top. and cool on the sides. It does not bond evenly to the core. Cold process or melt and pour should work fairly easily. For MP or hot processes, expect it to cool overnight and then you can open and cut with wire or whatever you like for wood shapes…
