📺 ECHOGEAR Steel Wall-Mounted AV Shelf - Supports up to 15lbs of Streaming Devices, Game Consoles, and Cable Boxes - EGAV1 Review

So I bought these blocks to house my Google Max speakers. The size was right and the load was right. I was looking for ease of installation, looks and features. Installation was pretty easy BUT when it was done there was play in the shelf (you could swing it up and down on either end). It did NOT bother me in the end, but depending on usage and gear balance it might be an issue for others.

Nothing really to say about what you are wall mounting to hold electronics. However, the people at Echogear have written a huge user manual. I think that was the first time that I had a sufficiently detailed manual and not just pictures. Also, whoever wrote the manual had a great sense of humor and my wife and I enjoyed reading it. My Vizio soundbar literally fell off the shelf and yes I just fitted it. The problem is that the vibrations generated by my soundbar caused it to slide, eventually sliding right off the front of the shelf. I would recommend maybe making the top out of a grippy material or making a small ledge at the front of the shelf. There are a few jokes in the instructions, it's nice to see someone enjoying the lighter approach. Very easy to follow. I was afraid I would have to go to the hardware store for spring loaded drywall anchors as most kits only come with plastic screws which don't hold very well. Installation was easy. The shelf is solid and well made. Due to the curved shape of the shelf compared to the square edge, there is less space than the dimensions suggest. The edges do NOT correspond to the specified dimensions. Two screws holding the shelf are missing. Because the screws are next to each other, the shelf can wobble to one side or the other when you load one end of the shelf.
