I found these to be solid tools, metal balls seem to be heavy These tools seem great to use on clay I crochet and some articles suggest using dry clay on certain accessories so they are very useful. I look forward to using them in baking. I think they will be great tools for creating detail. I would recommend them.

everything arrived intact as expected except one of the large tip tools had a rough textured surface, like sandpaper and was therefore totally unusable in this shop. I wanted it for. Obviously very low quality metal, not perfectly smooth like a ball bearing. I still use these tools and the bag feels nice to the touch, but be careful when using beads to shape petals or anything else that needs them to be really smooth.

I love this toolbox for texturing, carpentry, painting and signing my clay work. The only downside for now is that the metal tips of the tools slip into the plastic rods that hold them and can be pulled out. I've only lost one so far. Haven't tried gluing them yet, but it should be easy. You can't lose with this set, especially at this price point. I'm not a metallurgist so I can't test them to determine if they're 'hard stainless steel' or not, but they're heavy and feel balanced in my hand. The largest stylus sets (dark blue pens) have a very durable feel and soft-touch rubber/silicone barrel. The light blue set is lighter in color and has a smooth plastic handle to the touch.
