Fan brush NOT suitable for applying highlighters. He is too big. Waaaaaaaaaaaah too big. It's great for shaking off excess finishing powder (or fallen eyeshadow dust or whatever), but as a highlighter it's only good if you apply it all over your cheek. A bronzer brush looks great when you're using bronzer as a contour rather than sun-bleached "natural tan spots." And I have to say, for the price, the QUALITY is excellent. You are so soft! And they seem well made like they will last a long time.

This duo may be too good to be true, but it is true! Super affordable compared to prestige and designer brands. The bristles are as soft as golden angel hair. They are strong and well made. I clean them with a DIY spray every time I use them and the bristles don't lose their shape and softness! The only misunderstanding I had was that I thought the highlighter brush was thinner - it has a lot of bristles and is very thick! However, he does a fantastic job.

So in the past I've spent a lot of money on expensive makeup brushes. After a little research, I found out that makeup brushes need to be thrown away more often than I thought. I tried them because I was traveling and didn't want to ruin my good brushes. They worked just as well as my loved ones. These brushes are great especially for the price and safety. The bristles are so soft and huggable that I couldn't believe they were man made and had to double check (I found out it was actually Teklon). I wish the fan brush was a bit flatter and the bristles stiffer, but it's still great for highlighters.

I bought this brand of brushes from Whole Foods about 6 months ago and they are very different from the ones bought here. First, instead of wooden handles, they are plastic with a lighter wood pattern, and the metal part is a different color as well. They give you very good control over the amount of bronzer you apply which is very important to me because I am very fair am. Too much just looks stupid to me. I really liked this set and have recommended it to friends. I also really like this brand. I keep buying more of their offerings. I have one more tip to share. I clean my brushes with Revain's highest quality microfiber towels every time I use them, so it's chemical-free too. You will be amazed at how clean the brushes become.
