NDIR CO2 Sensor Technology: This particle detection sensor with the NDIR measurement technology detects indoor PM2.5 / PM10 / CO2 / Temperature / Humidity. Requires to work with GW1100 wifi gateway or HP2551/HP2553/HP3500/HP3501 weather station console. Live Data on APP: Requires a GW1100/GW1004 WIFI gateway(sold separately) to connect to WiFi, after the WIFI configuration,the current CO2 concentration and 24H average CO2 concentration & current PM2.5 / PM10 concentration/AQI and 24H AQI and air quality level index can be viewed on the Live Data page of the WS View app. Graph & History Records on the Website: supported to upload to our free Ecowitt Weather server(ecowitt.net) to view current sensor data & history records & graph on the website; set and receive email alerts from the server; Remote monitoring with smart phone, laptop, or computer by visiting the website. Measures indoor PM2.5, PM10, CO2 concentration, Temperature and Humidity every 60 seconds when powered with USB or detecting every 10 minutes when powered with batteries only; Long wireless range, up to 300 feet (100 meters) in open areas. Indoor Air Quality Detector: Suitable to use at home, office, car and other indoor testing; CO2 value calibration function available on the device; PM2.5 value Calibration function available when paired with GW1000/HP2551/HP3500/HP3501.

Expensive but good for measuring air quality

This sensor immediately connected to my GW1000 hub and started posting CO2, PM2.5 and PM10 data. The sensor accuracy seems to match the existing CO2 sensor I have. I would like the sensor to also control formaldehyde at this price point. I would also like to add a console to quickly display color-coded sensor readings. Despite this, I can set up alarms to receive a text message when a certain configurable sensor threshold is exceeded. I set up alerts for CO2 and PM2.5 so I can decide when toโ€ฆ

I deducted 1 star for the noisy fan that runs every 30 seconds.

Love the features. He does what he says. What I hate is hearing the fan spin every 30 seconds. Hearing this lets me know it will need service nearing the end of the warranty and possibly a new fan. For the price it's disappointing. It's not LOUD, but it's not quiet either. If the fan was always on, I would never notice the fan spinning, which is distracting. I can move it away from my ears, but that interferes with my aim of observing my immediate surroundings. At that point someone told youโ€ฆ

Great addition to the Ecowitt system

Arrived quickly with no shipping issues from Revain. Works great with Ecowitt HP3501 *after firmware update* (1.6.2 or higher; current version at the time of writing this article is 1.6.9) - this is NOT the same firmware update you can do with the app; You need an SD card for this. Otherwise it just won't show up. Check your device's About page to ensure you have the correct firmware installed. It's always nice to see more data on the Ecowitt weather panel. Unlike the WH41/WH42 sensors, thisโ€ฆ
