Eddie Bauer Kids Down Jacket - Boys' Jackets & Coats Review

100% Corona quality. EB should be ashamed. Completely unacceptable. I dismissed the lightness and low quality reviews as I know these jackets are meant to be light but warm. We already have this jacket to the crown and I went back to buy new sizes. EB has almost halved the amount of fluff. The new shit quality won't cut it for Michigan winters. Precorona size 5/6 weighed 11.6 ounces. Size Post-Corona 5/6 weighed 6.6 ounces. We are now looking for new coats :(

I live in a big city and use public transportation or walk 3-4 miles to exercise. I'm sweating in this incredibly WARM coat. This is the best down coat I have bought in 10 years. I ordered size LG, but I wear a small size for women's clothing. I spent 4 hours outside in this coat. Feeling comfortable as a bug in a rug, one day I wore a tank top under my coat to TEST the warmth. I've never had a cold ❤. I usually wear real fur coats because I get damn cold in winter. I ❤ this coat ❤

This is a great lightweight jacket until you wash it. I followed the care instructions and the inner padding is still curled up into little lumps. Now it's destroyed. Very disappointed.

I love the quality and fit of the jacket. My daughter wears 5T in size S-6x and I ordered XS. He was huge on her. Giving 4 stars because it's still a great product. Of course, sizes vary by brand and style, so you can always find the right fit when shopping for clothes and shoes online.

For children the size charts shown were confusing but I ordered the X-Small for my granddaughter and it fit her toddler size 5/6 nicely. Good quality, light weight but the fluff keeps them warm. It's a good length too, especially as our granddaughter is tall for her age. Would recommend this purchase.

These high quality jackets are worth their money. I've been shopping at Eddie Bauerer for 40 years. The product is always excellent value for money. I have 3 of these lightweight down jackets. A gloss black (for my 6 year old), a teal purple (8 year old) and a light pink for my 9 year old. True to size and very comfortable!

Perfect jacket for my daughter! She is 10 years old and size XL fits her perfectly and has room to grow. Good quality and comfort!

The size of the jacket was much larger than described and is reflected in the size chart. It should fit a 7 year old boy and probably fit a small adult. I don't know if I want to mess with a return

It was a lot thinner than I expected. I followed the washing instructions and now it's as thin as a cotton-filled spring raincoat. Drying didn't help. It's too late to go back to this moment. The photo shows the filling after washing and drying as indicated in the instructions.

Little Girls - Cropped. There is nothing above 3T in the size chart at the moment so hopefully this will help someone else avoid returns.

In Central, Texas with minimal frost. However, this is also ideal for 60 degrees, as it regulates downwards. It also seems to be good for wind protection.

When I was looking for a warm winter jacket for my little one, I came across this one. As a previous Eddie Bauer customer, I had expectations that weren't necessarily met with this jacket. I was expecting more fur density. Upon arrival, he looked like a greenish pancake. After washing and tumble drying with a tennis ball, it puffed up a bit, but not as much as I'd hoped. With warmer base layers, I'm hoping this jacket will work in the area I live in which is notoriously cold and snowy. I wish…

My grandson loves this jacket though; For my money I would have liked it to be a bit heavier. I also feel that the sizing doesn't exactly reflect what I was looking for, it's a bit small in my opinion.

It was definitely a light weight but I have to say I expected it to be thicker. I wanted it to be our son's winter jacket but definitely not warm enough for it, more like a fall coat.

As you can see in the photo, the very small filling came together like wet cotton balls after washing. This is totally inappropriate. Please refund my payment. Thanks.

Excellent coat in terms of warmth. I ordered 2 for the fall season and they have kept my kids warm even on cold days BUT I only had time to wash them to put them away for the season and that's what happened. I washed exactly according to the washing and drying instructions and glued all the feathers in the coat. Very upset as these are not cheap coats! GARBAGE!

The jacket was not as thick as in the picture! The material felt like a cheap plastic tablecloth and the Eddie Bauer label wore off after a single wash. Not worth the price and should sell for $5 or less! Was too skinny. I only gave 2 stars because I received the jacket quickly and the weather wasn't as cold as expected.

Light, padded down jacket. Ideal for layering without volume. Like an attached bonnet. The zipper does not stick to the fabric. So far very satisfied.
