Edelbrock 1221 Air Cleaner with Signature Series Design Review

I installed this in my '56 Chevy and it really added the wow factor I needed in my engine bay! Good quality and great price!

Simple and shiny. Works well. Freer air flow than the factory air filter which was a twin tube with a K&N filter. Although it would be better if I had a hood

I have a 1975 Chevy Silverado 1st edition and this year it's time to change it, plus it's nice when the engine goes well with the rest of the truck, including the interior the heater overhaul now has a new heating cable and the air conditioning is next but the air purifier was the start of a new outfit,,,,,thank you

Nothing to say - the quality is standard for Edelbrock which is always good and the filter is not the best but serviceable, even a standard Edelbrock board. I would buy another one at this price if needed. I like simplicity and minimalism for my engines and it fits both categories. This was a big improvement compared to the old, worn out air filter I had previously.

Forgive my dirty engine bay. I bought it to replace a bulky factory air filter that needed a plastic gasket to fit the Edelbrock 1406 that was installed in my 1986 GMC C1500. I wanted to remove the plastic spacer and better match the chrome valve covers I just installed to try and fix the leak. This air filter fits perfectly without getting in the way of the throttle body, manifold or carburetor.

Edelbrock quality is still good when most companies make things cheaper. Edelbrock continues to make a good product. The breather is the best quality for this price range. I'll buy several. It's always good to have a new chrome breather on the shelf in the garage. You may need a small washer to free the fuel lines on Edelbrock carburetors. with this vent. Unless you use an Edelbrock banjo fitting.
