Edelbrock 7501 Performer Air Gap Manifold Review

Wanted to buy a starter version of this intake from another manufacturer. After reading about some of the issues with them (fit, quality and finish) I decided it wasn't worth my time. I was having trouble installing when launching another manufacturer and figured I didn't want to put myself through the hassle if there was a problem.

I don't insist on always being made in the USA but after a bad experience with fakes from this particular collector I paid extra and got a better one. Edelbrock is always top notch and top notch. Please consider purchasing American made items like this wonderful item whenever possible!

Fits the engine very well, very light weight and good quality. If you have a Corvette C1, you will find it difficult to install under the hood. It cleans the hood about an inch, so finding the right air filter is extremely difficult. Top level racers do 14x3 depending on your carb setup which has a 1.5 inch drop and with a little tweaking it will fit but just a little.

Ready to use. 10 minutes installation. smooth grip and spigot action. goes very well with the stainless steel sink. This faucet does not have a magnet. Teflon tape is not included. that's good, just don't forget it. However, it does come with 1/2" adapters if you need them, as well as a parts kit, so that's a good thing. The woman is happy!

Item was well packaged and was a pleasure to install. Note to assemblers: It is difficult to tighten the screws in the center section under the carburetor. Get a 1/4" tension set. You may need some adapters, but it's worth it. Torque up to 25 ft-lbs. ONLY oh the last one. The surface area of the collector where it meets the head is very smooth.Clean the surface with solvent or alcohol before installation.Use Felpro gaskets and RTV high temperature silicone for water jacket.
