Terrible Brass Fittings: Don't Bother!

When I tried these brass fittings, they were an absolute nightmare. They were poorly made and didn't seal properly. I ended up having to replace them with a different brand.

Pros
  • None.
Cons
  • Poor quality, didn't seal properly.

Ideal for Bosch water heater safety valve!

Fits under the sink on the pressure relief valve on my newly purchased Bosch ES 2.5 water heater. The barbed end allows me to put on a piece of clear vinyl tubing if it ever breaks! Be sure to use a good quality PTFE paste or Teflon tape like I did.

Pros
  • Push-in fittings
Cons
  • thin

Best way to flush the coolant system

Worked very well with the check valve I also bought to flush the heater core on my truck. Little effort, I wish I knew this trick 40 years ago, just so I'll do it from now on. The only thing is I had to get it with a 3/4" female threaded end instead of a male threaded end (used a washing machine hose to get it working properly). All in all a great product, try it next time, it will make you a believer.

Pros
  • Hydraulics, Pneumatics and Plumbing
Cons
  • No power
