Disappointed. They broke the first day. They don't seem to add magnification, they're pretty much pointless. The part holding the plastic lens has broken off, this can be seen in a photo. The second photo shows that the lens is no longer there.

Just bought my 3rd or 4th set! Everyone who received the pair loved it and it was definitely worth the little money they paid to buy it! I have had no complaints that they break easily or that children cannot see bugs, worms, birds, leaves etc. If you're not sure which pair to buy, I say just get these!

This is the best choice for preschoolers. An adjustment is not required. You simply look through binoculars and see a clear image. My son used it last summer to get a closer look at the hummingbirds at our feeder. We also took them on nature walks. Really enjoyed using them and after a full summer of use they are still in great condition. Everything that arouses a child's interest in nature and the environment gets an A plus in my book.

These are the binoculars of choice for my 4.5 year old grandson and 2 year old granddaughter. It's easy to use, although the magnification isn't very good. I bought these because I have a very curious 2.5 year old and we were planning a trip to Big Bear, California. He loved her right out of the box! Little did I know they have a rubber border on the front that goes around the outer lenses by about an inch as well as the inside. As the magnification is actually quite low (only has 2x magnification - makes things look twice as close as they really are) I was a bit skeptical and wanted to buy nicer ones. I thought they would be great binoculars for a 3 year old but I regret buying them and here's why; - there is mostly no magnification. Objects viewed through binoculars aren't actually noticeably larger or sharper than they would be without them, so what's the point? They were fun for a while as a novelty, but quickly grew boring as they don't really work - they're too big and heavy for a small child to comfortably carry.
