Connection problems with thick fur - that helps

Better connection than original teeth for thick-skinned animals. Improved results. I'm glad I tried them before I gave up e-collar training.

Pros
  • Complete set
Cons
  • Upgrades

Works on a very thick double coated Husky

I originally ordered 1" points for my Dogtra ARC-E collar but they didn't penetrate my very thick coated Husky. Someone recommended these contact lenses to me and they work like clockwork, my husky is now picking up the stimulation at 4 out of 127. Recommended for dogs with very thick fur.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Vulgarity

This changes everything for long haired dogs

I can finally get reliable contact and response with our long haired LGD. Makes training on ecollar so much better. It's annoying when the dog feels too much because you've raised the level through unreliable contact. This fixes it. It still needs some play with to become reliable but sooo much better for you and the dog.

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Obsolete model

The stubborn husky is the best in collars, harnesses and leashes

I have a husky that has very thick hair on his neck. The regular Ecocollar connections never reached his fur. I bought them and it was instant. Tip: Try smoothing the fur at the joints after tightening to ensure the joint is in contact with the skin. Recommend these to any double coated dog owner, not 1 inch long dots. I'd say it's a bit pricey just for connection points, but worth it for learning purposes.

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • poorly thought out

I was skeptical at first but now I'm convinced

This is an expensive little device that I'm sure was worth buying. And the packaging of the device was so cheap and simple. I just taped it to a small card in a pocket. No instructions. But there was a support number on the card. It was very easy to install. After reading the instructions on the collar everything was set up and ready. I took Gypsy to a park with a lot of distractions. I used the controller when needed. That works great. I've always hated those little probes they stuck down…

Pros
  • It's fun
Cons
  • There are problems

Trusting contact! on collars

Since receiving this I have never wondered if my dog's e-collar was in contact. I don't even think about it anymore. Consistency is key to training, and stock touchpoints have too many variables that can interfere with good contact. They cost more than standard contacts and this would add to the overall price of the product, but I'm sure these winged contact points would come with electronic collars if it weren't for that fact. This is the only way. I have a short haired pit bull mix and they…
