I've had this for a few months now and my 30 lb son has put it to the ultimate test. HE RIDES THIS THING LIKE A JUNGLE (he's pretty rough) and it's still standing. I am disappointed in this product. If it weren't so difficult to assemble I would have sent it back. I figured it would be too much of a problem to take it apart and try to repackage it. My twins love it but there are some safety issues! This is recommended for children over 12 months who are my children. At first the instructions were like reading the instructions for IKEA furniture. They were a bit difficult to read but once we got into the rhythm everything was fine. The rods are not metal as shown in the pictures. Made of hard plastic. So definitely durable, but not as durable as we thought. My 1 year old loved this Christmas present. The instructions are quite incomplete and it took me about 2 hours to set it up because I installed something incorrectly several times and had to uninstall some of it. Maybe it's my fault, but almost all the details look the same, so it's easy to miss something. In any case, the actual function of it is excellent.
