Type of review

Just installed, very easy installation, unit has solid hookup connectors and is easy to operate. I'll update my review after some time of use. ***Edit*** 11/5/2020Been 3 months now and so far perfect. Far exceeds my expectations for a sub $200 unit. I would recommend highly.

Pros
  • 13.78 x 10.91 x 5.51 inches
Cons
  • May not meet safety regulations in some areas

High quality solar controller.

This is a high quality controller. It provides up to the moment information. I ordered it in a Sunday. Was told it would arrive the next Wednesday, it arrived on Tuesday.

Pros
  • The tracking rate of maximum power is ≥99% and the maximum conversion rate is >98%,can be widely used for various applications, e.g. solar RV, household system and industrial field monitoring, etc.
Cons
  • May not be able to handle power surges or spikes

Doesnt stop overvoltage.

The over voltage protection doesnt work properly. It keeps allowing high surges of 16 to 17 volts on a 12v system. That's my review.

Pros
  • Best of four controllers we’ve bought. Had several months and still working.
Cons
  • It's noisy and it doesn't charge under low lighting my other one used to before it broke after 8 years

Great Solar MPPT on my review.

It works well and easy to set up. It worths the $. Well built with the metal box. It works great even you series, or parallel your Solar panels. Not sure why it didn’t absorb full sun energy for my 2 panels of 200W each or 2 panels of 210W Solar panel even under full sun. It’s only show around 250W - 310W. (Sets up under 12V battery. 3 12V battery parallel together) There’s room for improvement.

Pros
  • Working great so far
Cons
  • Installation process can be challenging

AMPINVT vs EPEVER vs VICTRON

This is just to provide some comparison between these MPPTs when i am in search of one that suit my needs. The test being done in various conditions, multiple PV configuration and repeated at least 3 times to eliminate some 'quick and easy' judgements.Honest observation during test found that each MPPT here has their own 'strength' and 'weakness', but all seems are good quality one.None of these result determine anything about 'reliability' and 'longevity' of the MPPTs and no intention to favor…

Pros
  • Faster Charging
Cons
  • May not be able to operate during power outages

Cons
  • Requires manual adjustment for optimal performance
