Tastes like boiled mud

Bought on sale. I saw it in some grocery stores along with Starbucks and thought it might be good enough to try. Big mistake. The beans themselves are completely dry and do not contain any oils that give the coffee its aroma and flavor. Eventually, this coffee worked really well - when I tossed the bag in the kitchen bin, the overly dry beans did a great job of absorbing odors and making the room feel a little fresher.

virtually odorless

I believe the safe is sealed. But the coffee is bad. It colors the water light brown but has little to no flavor. Good coffee beans should have a glossy appearance, they look dull and dry. Something like a pile of light brown wood shavings. For a dark roast coffee, the brew itself was just light brown and tasteless. I sampled two pots and went to the local store to buy another coffee. Drinkable but tasteless. waste of money.

Our favorite drinks

My wife and I are coffee drinkers and have traveled extensively in the US, Europe, the Middle East and the Far East. I think the best brewed coffee is in Turkey, but it can be a bit strong for the average coffee drinker. Jacobs coffee blended in Germany is the best we've found, but it's hard to come by in the US. Some East African Starbucks blends are excellent. But after trying many mixes, we always come back to Eight O'Clock, which is always there. We have set up a fully automatic coffee…

Smooth and soft; No bitter or burnt taste. Very refreshing!

My grandfather drank this (although I'm pretty sure it wasn't caffeinated, decaffeinated). I don't like most coffees because I can't stand their bitter or burnt taste. I especially hate Starbucks or any other greasy coffee. However, I LOVE eight o'clock coffee! So soft, not bitter at all. It also has a very light, non-burned taste. It's so refreshing! I'm only allowed to have decaffeinated coffee (as prescribed by the doctor), so I tried a few before finally finding one I like. My wife is a…

Old label but great!

Over the last few years I have tried and evaluated both regular and decaffeinated coffee beans. About 3/4 were regular whole beans. Some of them were quite exotic. During this time I also tested 6 decaf whole beans and 1 decaf ground coffee, which gave each coffee an extended flavor for at least a couple of weeks. Of the 7 decaffeinated coffees tested, 1 was supermarket grade (ground), one was a modest but fairly well rated whole grain coffee, and the other 5 were more expensive, highly rated…

My cold drink!

I like strong coffee in large doses and I save money (read: miser). As a result, my husband and I usually buy coffee from Market Pantry (Target Brand). BUT while working from home during the COVID-19 lockdown, I drank too much coffee and suffered from heartburn as a result. So I started making cold coffee, which requires coarsely ground beans. I tried these beans, one from a local roaster and some gevalia beans. These were winning seeds for my husband and I. Here's why: 1) The other two brands…

Cheap but good tasty coffee

Haven't had anything but Eight Oclock Columbian for probably 5 years One of the cheapest big brand coffees but also one of the best. Like most Colombian coffees grown in the mountains, this one is very smooth and forgiving of poor grinding or brewing. Nice aroma when brewing on my super-automatic DeLonghi Magnifica. Decent cream. The medium roast, which I prefer for espresso, never burns. Make it as strong as you like, always gentle on the palate and nose. I've used this bean for Pourover…

Not what I ordered but it only tastes good for hot coffee

I ordered coffee beans and ground them in a bag with a small razor cut through the bottom 8 o'clock coffee bag. I contacted Revain and the return was smooth but they didn't ask for me to return the ground coffee. actually a light roast. I have no idea what the lightly toasted versions taste like! I bought it to experiment with cold brew coffee. Knowing that it takes A LOT of coffee to make a decent amount of CB concentrate, I figured I'd buy a good cheap brand that I like. that?) and a batch of

Waste of money for POOR QUALITY

As a lifelong coffee drinker who has enjoyed great coffee for 70 years I found this choice almost worthless. Thought I'd give this brand a try as a cheaper everyday alternative to my usual great locally bought coffee. I wasn't expecting it to top my regular coffee, but based on various reviews placing it in the "top 10" options, I definitely expected more than trivial.
