Not suitable for AV accessories

Purchased to use my original XM antenna. The end did not match my factory antenna on my 2008 Chevy Silverado. I ended up buying an XM magnetic antenna and throwing it away.

Pros
  • Free for educational use
Cons
  • Many things

Perfect fit for 2013 Mazda5 GT!

The Sirius unit is located behind the glove box. Disconnect the antenna connector from the box, connect it to the adapter, connect the other end of the adapter to a secondary Sirius controller, such as Sirius. B. SXV300v1. Works perfectly! No signal loss.

  • Acceptable

  • Annoying

Extend OEM satellite dish to portable receiver

Just what I need to use the OEM satellite dish. Accessing the infotainment system in my Colorado was a bit fiddly, but once I had access, connecting was easy. Connected to my XM portable receiver, works fine now

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Socket required

Great for my 2008 Ford F-150

I used this to set up my Sirius portable radio with built in antenna in my 2008 F-150. The magnetic antenna was removed from the roof and dashboard to have one less wire. The cable is strong and connects securely to both my car's wiring harness and the Sirius radio dock, which could be better.

  • Availability

  • Quality

This is a phenomenal product. Takes a standard shark fin antenna cable from my truck and turns it into a Sirius antenna connector. The need to mount a second unsightly antenna on the outside of my car has been completely eliminated. Very happy with this product, wish they had had it 10 years ago.

Keep in mind how far the antenna is from your new stereo.

Works great. I installed a stereo system in my 2015 Mazda 6. I used a SiriusXM SXV300 tuner (but ordered without antenna). I then used this cable to keep the factory antenna. There is a Mazda factory tuner under the glove box. I unplugged the brown connector and plugged it into this wire. 3 feet was enough room to hook it up to my new SiriusXM tuner. Works perfectly. Saved me time and money.

Pros
  • Audio and Video Accessories
Cons
  • Good overall, but...

My OCD drives me crazy when I can't get things done efficiently. For example installing a 2nd satellite radio antenna on my car when I have a perfectly working antenna installed from the factory. This adapter cable enabled me to do just that. Connect one end to the factory wiring harness behind the head unit and the other end to the SiriusXM SXV300 satellite tuner. Worked like clockwork and didn't have to install a second antenna either. I'm probably a bit odd, but I get an odd satisfaction…

  • Electronics
