🔍 Eisco Spectroscope with Advanced Direct Vision Review

I think it's more suitable for discussion or demonstration than scientific measurement. There is no scale mark on it. This suggests that it is very well built and aesthetically pleasing. It works as advertised.

This is a modern brass pocket spectroscope with glass optics. It has an adjustable slot on the front and the body slides out to focus. One can look at the fluorescent light and easily see the different spectra of phosphors each manufacturer uses. This is accurate enough to see the absorption spectra. This is not a toy/student version. This is more of a budget lab instrument. The optics can be damaged if dropped.

I would recommend smaller and cheaper gemstone spectroscopes. I thought it would be an upgrade but there are some issues: slit edges so so so much Grossly oddly enough, the vertical sides are flat. Still, that means you'll be drawing a lot of lines through your lens. It sucks...sometimes. Putting it anywhere will break the alignment - This could be a great tool for someone into be a developing country or something, it's made of a straw thread that holds the prism in place.
