BOUGHT THIS FOR MY niece TO USE ON A COOL PROJECT. THE CASSETTE DOES NOTHING EXCEPT ROLLING, CROSSING AND HUMING WHILE IT PLAYED. I WANT MY MONEY BACK! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER.

Variable speed only plays tape faster, not slower. I needed one that could play slower so I had to return it. Although the return process was easy. I only wish there was more detail because I wouldn't have bought it if I knew it wouldn't play at a slower speed.

I bought another one after my old one broke. The second served for 10 years with intensive use. It is now very difficult to find them. It's a shame when they invent something that works well and then replace it with something that should be better. Technology advances in such a way that you can never catch up with it.
